The tradition of giving flowers for Mother’s Day <\/strong>has deep roots in our culture, but did you know about the special meaning behind red and white blooms? This tradition was first started by Julia Ward Howe in 1870 when she was devastated by the loss of so many lives during the Civil War. It was then continued by Anna Jarvis and has not yet stopped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
